It was beautiful on Sunday! My dad txted us asking if we were going to go up to camp for the cookout. I called him asking if he was serious, because it's a 2 1/2 hour drive. He chuckled and said he was just kidding, but Ethan wanted him to ask.
Well, after talking to Matt and there not being a game on, we decided to just get ready then and there and surprise Ethan. Ethan's face when we drove up the driveway was priceless. Made that our 2 1/2 hour trip with two girls so worth it. :)
The leaves were so colorful and vibrant. Alaina was pointing them out to me during the trip up, because she knows how much I love them. She's like, "Mommy look at the pretty leaves.","Mommy look at those ones and those ones." , "Mommy there's some red ones and "ellow" and orange ones too!" It was so cute!
The kids had SOOO much fun playing, helping pappy build a fire, and watching the mommy and three cubs pappy caught on video the night before. There's nothing greater than hearing kids laughing and having a great time.
Yeah, my dad leaves out food and even puts honey on the tree behind the camp. Then he tries to catch animals on video and when he does, he's like a lil boy on Christmas morning. LOL! It was awesome seeing that mommy and three cubs though. The babies climbed up the tree and licked the honey off. It was adorable.
Anyways, it was a great trip. My grandma, Tom, Uncle Alan and his gf even came up for the cookout. We ended up leaving around 10:30pm. The trip home only took about 2 hours without all the traffic, and both girls fell asleep within five minites of leaving, which was nice. Great way to enjoy our beautiful October Sunday, I must say. :) I hope everyone did the same.
