Funday Sunday

Can't believe that the Olympics are done already! Seems like yesterday we were watching the opening and now we are watching the closing. It's a shame that we didn't win gold in hockey today, but at least we did win silver. The total won for USA was 37 and nine being gold! That's something to be proud of USA!!!

Today we went over to my mother-in-law's house for dinner and to watch USA against Canada. We had pork roast, mashed potatoes, corn, salad, rolls and pie for dessert. Bella even tried some mashed potatoes for the first time and boy did she like them. She was kicking her feet and swaying her arms back and forth for more.

I WILL be going to the gym tomorrow. I love going during the day. It's so much more peaceful and now that Matt is home, I've been going around noon while the girls take their naps. It feels so good knowing you already did the hard part and can enjoy the rest of the day.

After we ate dinner the girls played Phase 10. I had a lot of fun and it was nice visiting with everyone. <3

Here's a cute lil joke. Enjoy :)

Attending a wedding for the first time, a little girl whispered to her mother, "Why is the bride dressed in white?"

"Because white is the color of happiness, and today is the happiest day of her life."

The child thought about this for a moment, then said "So why is the groom wearing black?"

Saturday with friends and family

Today was a very nice day with some good friends and family. This morning Alaina and I made daddy breakfast. Then I ran our income tax papers up to the post office to add that priority mail tracking to it, so I can make sure they receive it this time. I just pray that our original ones didn't get in the wrong hands. *Sighs*

Around noon, Matt's mom and sis came over so I could go to the gym and tanning, which was very nice. Soon after that my good friend, Heidi came over bearing gifts for everyone! She is such a good person. I felt bad because Alaina wouldn't open her gifts until she left, but she loved her new strawberry shortcake doll and fashion boutique. She played with it all night and is now sleeping with her doll. Thanks Heidi! <3Still being shy 2/27/10
Once everyone left she was begging me to open her SS toys

Meanwhile, Matt's friend, Jay came and plowed our driveway and cleared our sidewalks, since Matt just had surgery. It's so nice to be able to get up our crazy driveway with ease now. We couldn't ask for better friends <3

Then I drove the girls up to see pappy, Aunt Kel and Ethan. Alaina misses Ethan often so I try to visit as much as possible. They always have a blast together especially dancing lol! When they dance they take off their socks and shirts and twirl away hand in hand. It's so cute.

Well, I'm off to bed. Goodnight and God Bless!

Pennsylvania girls LOL!

To marry a Pennsylvania girl or not to marry a Pennsylvania girl ~ that is
the question.......................................

The first man married a woman from Michigan . He told her that she
was to do the dishes and house cleaning. It took a couple of
days, but on the third day, he came home to see a clean house
and dishes washed and put away.

The second man married a woman from Georgia . He gave his
wife orders that she was to do all the cleaning, dishes and the
cooking. The first day he didn't see any results, but the next
day he saw it was better. By the third day, he saw his house was
clean, the dishes were done and there was a huge dinner on the
table.

The third man married a girl from Pennsylvania . He ordered her to
keep the house cleaned, dishes washed, lawn mowed, laundry
washed, and hot meals on the table for every meal. He said the
first day he didn't see anything, the second day he didn't see
anything but by the third day, some of the swelling had gone
down and he could see a little out of his left eye, and his arm
was healed enough that he could fix himself a sandwich and load
the dishwasher.

He still pees with some difficulty.

Friday Frenzy

Today, you would have thought it was Friday the 13th. It was one bad thing after another :( First, Matt talked to his workers comp nurse who told him that he will start getting paid in about two weeks and that he will probably be off for 4-6wks, so that was bad enough.

Then I thought I'd call the IRS to get an idea how much longer it would be to receive our return and maybe that would brighten our day, but after awhile of searching they came back with no results. He said they have no record of my income tax papers being received as of yet, but I sent them mid January. If they don't have it, then who does? I'm glad I called now rather later though.

After I talked to the IRS, I copied all my other tax papers and put them in the mailbox right away. Hopefully they get these ones and it don't take 6wks! *Sighs* Other than that our day was nice. Matt is getting around pretty good. Alaina accidently kicked his incision Eeeek! He had to lay down after that :( I never realized how much he does now that he can't do any of it. I will now be sure to show my appreciation more.

I did get a lot of cleaning and laundry done and even managed to go tanning while the girls took their nap. Tomorrow, Matt's mom is coming over to watch the girls, so I can go to the gym. I'm actually looking forward to that. It's nice to have that "Me" time once in awhile. :) Here are some pics from yesterday and today. Enjoy!

Thank you Danette :)

Ethan's sweet "Gama" sends us "care packages" often and Alaina had a ball with her new two peice LOL!! Daddy thought it was funny how she walked around like she was hot stuff, but said she will NOT be wearing that stuff when she hits puberty haha. I know you check my blog Danette, so here are some pics of Alaina for ya. Thanks again! Much love.
I told her to wave to you ;)

Worn out Wednesday

Today was Matt's surgery. The hernia was bit larger than expected, so the doctor said there was some more "Pulling, tugging and digging" going on in order to get things back in place Eeeek! Other than the bruising it looks pretty good so far.

When the nurse asked Matt how he was feeling he replied, "I'm a bit upset that my bikini line will never look the same again, but other than that I'm fine." LOL! He thought it was neat that he had the surgery in one of Passavant's new operating rooms and to the music of the Beach Boys ;)

Matt has been resting since we got home, and his mom bought us dinner, which made my life so much easier. <3 They are calling for 3-6 more inches of snow tonight into tomm. Blah! At least I got my food shopping done yesterday. Be careful, for those who do have to go out in it.

*Yawns* Well, I'm going to get to bed. I've been up since 4:30am, so as you can imagine, I'm worn out! Thanks again for all your thoughts and prayers. Good night and drive safely tomorrow. God Bless <3

Snow, Snow Go Away! :)

Tomorrow Matt goes in for surgery. He has an inguinal hernia that he kept from everyone for a long time. Well, now it's as big as a baseball and causes him a lot of pain, so the doctor said that they needed to get it taken care of asap.

*Sighs* If you know me then you know how much I worry about everyone and everything. I wish I could change that about me, but I love this man with all my heart and as you know it sucks to see someone you love be in pain. Please keep him in your prayers. Thank you so much!

Bella had her 5 month checkup today. She is in the 84% in weight and 92% in height. She's following in her sister's footsteps, so maybe they will both be tall like daddy. :) The doctor said she's doing awesome, so I'm thrilled. Have a good one!

Here are some pics from yesterday and today. :)
