3 days until Easter!

I had so much fun today. The weather was beautiful and I didn't want to be cooped up in the house, so as soon as I got the girls ready we were off :) First, I took them to North Park to play. Of course Bella couldn't play, but she enjoyed observing and taking notes ;)

They built another play area to the previous one and it's AMAZING! I loved it because of all the add ons and the whole play area is on top of that rubber padding, which made it easy for me to push Bella around. We will be going there a lot now that the weather is warming up.

Also, Alaina actually went down the slide! Not only did she go down one slide, but she went down them all and many times! I was so proud of her. As soon as she went down one she ran back around to go down the next. It makes me so happy to see them happy. Oh... to be a kid again.

After about two hours of playing we took a walk around the pool to have a picnic at one of the groves. We just ate and talked about our day. Then I put them back in the stroller and walked around the pool a couple more times until they both fell asleep. :)

By time we got home daddy was just getting home, so we had dinner and I went to Zumba. After Zumba I made Easter "kiecoos" with Alaina. It was a very nice day.I'm looking forward to many more days like today with my girls.

Well, I'm off to bed. I'm pooped. Good night and sweet dreams. Last day for Women's History month quotes. Today's quote will be, "Far away there in the sunshine are my highest aspirations. 4 days until Easter

My beautiful Bella

Tuesday, I wanted to take the girls to the park but it was still a bit chilly, so I went back to Target to get some more Easter "goodies" Then I dropped the girls at my mother in laws' while I went to the gym. I'm addicted to Zumba! It's so much fun. If you have back or knee problems you may want to take a couple tylenol like I do though. I've been meeting a lot of sweet people there, which makes it even more enjoyable.

Matt was also there working on his mom's car. By time I was done with the gym and he was done working, we were all starving, so we all ordered from Adrians. Matt's mom had half off coupons, so we ended up getting a huge pizza with bacon and pepperoni, chicken salad for me and breadsticks for only $14.

Then Anne and Chris placed a order to and used another half off coupon. It was funny because Chris was worried they would know that we were together, so when he walked in he said to Matt "Hey haven't seen you in awhile" haha. Of course they didn't care, but it was still funny.

I can't wait for Easter! Alaina is at the age when everything amazes her, so it will be fun having her look around for her basket and what not. I've also been wanting a peice of chocolate every day of Lent. Just knowing that I can't have it, makes me crave it even more! I'm pretty proud of myself for actually sticking to it :) Well have a hoppy night. :)

Spirtual Monday

My girls 3/29/10 Alaina 3/29/10

Today was a very interesting day I must say ;) Last night when I was praying I started thinking about my mother. I don't remember much about her, but wondered if she was watching over me. Then under my breath I asked if she was there to give me a sign, but nothing, so I went to sleep.

Well, this morning I took the girls to Target to get some odds and ends. When I walked over to get a cart there was a nice size candle in a clear plastic bag just sitting in the bottom. I thought it was weird since it wasn't in a Target bag and on top of that it wasn't new, because the wick was burned before. I just placed it in my car and continued putting the kids in the cart.

While I was shopping I saw the candle isle, which got me thinking about the candle I found. Then I remembered what happened to my gram on my wedding day. When she was up lighting the wedding candle (I asked her to do it since my mom passed away) it wouldn't light for her. She stood there with the lit wick touching the other wick, but nothing!

Then all of a sudden the wick just lit up big and she heard my mother's voice calling her and telling her that she was there. My gram told my dad to go down and let me know and of course I started balling my eyes out.

When I got home I brought the candle in and when I smelled it, I automatically thought of the nursing home my mom lived at for 14 years. The candle actually smelled like the nursing home. Not the greatest smell in the world, but that's what it reminded me of. WOW! Plus it has my mom's favorite colors turquoise and peach in it to! I had to call and tell Matt and my dad and they both thought it was weird to. I believe that was my "sign" I asked for last night. :)

The infamous candle

Then at the gym, I met this girl named Jen who has all the same problems as me! She also had a couple other things, but it was so nice to meet someone who knew what I was going through. We talked about our experiences and she gave me some good advice. Before I knew it I burned 550 calories! She never tried Zumba before so she's going to go with me next time. :)

When I got home me and Alaina did some Easter crafts. We made a chick and a bunny. She had so much fun tracing her hands for the chick's wings and putting glue on everything lol! Here are some pics of her Easter pals :)

Well, I am going to go watch Have You Heard About the Morgans with Matt. Goodnight everyone and God Bless!

Go fish!

Alaina loving her new fishy 3/28/10

Hello! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. The weather hasn't been the greatest, but that didn't stop us from enjoying the weekend before Easter. My brother's gf, Amanda invited my sister and I for a girls day out, so Saturday we spent most of the day at Ross Park Mall. I rarely go there, unless it's to get something quick, because the girls get fussy, so it was nice being able to take our time and check out all the new stores, while Matt watched the girls.

Kelly and Amanda had a good time making fun of my "old lady" taste in clothes lol! I did get some nice items to add to my wardrobe with their help :) Can't wait for income tax to come in so we can do it again and hopefully I will be down another dress size ;)

After shopping, my back was bothering me so we just watched movies and this psychic kids show til about 2am. It was very interesting yet scary. Hopefully my kids don't ever possess that ability :/

This morning we were supposed to go to church, but after Matt turned off the alarm we ALL slept til about 11:15! My girls must have been tired because we NEVER get to sleep that long. I can understand why we were so tired but my girls? Maybe.... we were to sleep in for a reason. I'm always trying to find reason in things lol!

I was pretty upset with myself though, because I had the girls diaper bags ready and clothes set out and everything. We will be sure to go next week for Easter. Can you believe that Easter is next week? I can't beleive it! It makes me happy to know that the warmer weather is right around the corner. I have a ton of ideas I would like to do with the girls this summer. Now I just need to get myself in better shape so I can fulfill all my ideas. I'm determined though! :)

Since we got up late, we got ready and went to McD's for lunch. Then Alaina went and played in the jungle gym. Alaina is sooooo funny when she's around other kids. She get's so excited and even told this lil boy that he was "So cute!" and kissed him on the cheek. :) Daddy told her nicely in the car that she can't just go kissing anyone she wants lol! I bust out laughing and told him to chill out it was a lil boy and he got this grin on his face and said "She can't get in the habit of doing that." How funny is that! He's already acting like she's bringing home boys.

Alaina was having a good old time going through all the tunnels and mazes. The only thing she would not do is go down that slide. Ever since Ethan pushed her down the slide, she is afraid to. Occasionally she will go down with my help, but other than that she just sits at the top hesitating.

Well, a few kids didn't want to wait any longer, so they tried pushing her down. That girl grabbed their hands and told them "No! Be nice!" LOL! I'm so glad that she holds her own. Everywhere we go she has all these followers. I was pretty much a follower in school, so it's awesome to see my daughter be independent and true to herself.
3/28/10 The boy with the binkie is the boy she kissed lol!

After lunch, we went to the pet store and finally got Alaina her new fishy lol! With Matt having surgery and planning Bella's Baptism, I totally forgot to get her a new fish. We went the day Pinky died to get one, but the pet store was closed and Wal-mart's fish were either dead or nearly dead :( I wrote them an email, telling them that they need to do something about their fish or else.

Anyways, she got another purple Beta fish and we named her Ariel :) The rest of our evening consisted of watching movies and Matt cooking fattening food like wings, cheese fries and spinach dip. Alaina just loved the dip. She was licking her fingers and saying mmm and yummy. It was so funny.
Alaina enjoying the dip :)
Thanks to my hubby's love for cooking, I will have to work extra hard at the gym tomorrow lol! Have a good night everyone!
