Wings Over Pittsburgh

God Bless America!

On Saturday 9/11/10 we went with Matt's brother Johnny and his wife Annette to the Wings over Pittsburgh airshow. It was the girls and my first airshow, so I was super excited. We did go to the plane show a couple years ago, but not an airshow.

Alaina LOVES airplanes. Anytime she sees one in the sky, she points it out in amazement, so Matt couldn't wait to take her to see all the planes. She wants to fly in one so bad. We keep telling her when she gets bigger, she can go up in one, but not yet. Aunt Netsy told her that Uncle Johnny would give her flying lessons.:)We will see how interested she is after she realizes whats all involved. If she still wants to do it, all power to her. Daddy told her to just make sure she takes him up often.

The airshow was awesome. The girls were well behaved and the weather was warm with a breeze. Couldn't have asked for a better day for it.

After the airshow, we went to our community day. Matt took Alaina for her 1st ride in the mustang. Wish I got a pic, but my camera was dead from the airshow :( Bella and I waved to her while she went down the driveway. It was adorable!

Bella and I then met them along with Johnny and Annette down there. Alaina rode some rides and then we all watched the fireworks. We just missed the rain, so it worked out perfectly.

Earlier that day, Matt invited some people over for a bonfire, but it rained, so we ended up cooking on the grill, watched movies and just enjoyed the rest of the evening. Very nice Saturday.

It looks like you had a really fun day! Our fire was ruined by the rain, too!
