Valentines Day 2012

Happy Valentines Day!!!

Happy be-lated V-day!  I had a blast baking, making crafts/cards with my girls, and expressing our love for loved ones this year. Many people call it the "Hallmark holiday", but I LOVE it! How can you not get warm and fuzzy after walking into a store filled with all those pretty pink, red and white hearts. :)

Some of the Hershey Kisses and heart rice krispi treats we handed out

The cards Alaina made at preschool for mommy and daddy.

Every year Matt and I go out for a dinner and movie date. I so look forward to this, because sometimes this is the only time we get to get out just me and him. We decided to go to Bahama Breeze and the movie theater nearby.
Both of us got the salmon, cesar salad and garlic mashed potatoes. Our dinner was amazing AND fast! I am doing the call-ahead from now on, because it really did make a difference.

We even had time to go to the pet store and Marshalls before the movie started. Of course Matt wanted to take home every animal. I reminded him that he will have plenty of poop and pee to clean up when the baby comes haha! We went to see The Vow, which I thought was very good. Even Matt thought it was better than expected. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect evening with my soul mate. I love you Matthew!

On Valentines Day, Matt made us all breakfast, which included eggs, sausage, and heart-shaped toast. He's so sweet!
After breakfast, the girls opened their gifts from mommy and daddy.

Disney on Ice tickets!

Then it was time for Alaina and I to get ready for her preschool's V-day party. I was one of the mommy helpers, which was very meaningful to me, not only because I got to help out again, but one of my last memories of my mom was her doing my class's Valentines Day party. I remember being so proud and happy that my mommy was there.

Alaina made me feel the same way. Often she came over and hugged me. Then when the kids were sitting in a circle she yelled over that she loved me. The teachers looked at me and said, "Awww, that's so sweet."  She made me feel so loved!

I was in charge of the game. I made a pin the heart game for the kids. They really enjoyed it and got a kick out of being blindfolded haha.

Love her!

Pretty flowers Matt had delivered! Along with the new Breaking Dawn dvd and Godiva chocolate. Thank you honey! I got him heart boxers in a coffee mug lol!, and an Iphone, so he no longer has to get finger cuts on his shattered droid lol! The girls got him a big Sarris hershey kiss. I think he ate the whole thing that night lol!

Next year I will have one more valentine to share this special day with. I can't wait to meet you my love.

I hope all of you had a love-filled Valentine's Day. Happy Valentine's Day! Much love.
