I know Sunday is the day of rest, but they seem to drag on. I cherish these calmer days I have with the girls though. Before long they will be in school.

We didn't do much since Matt has been in more pain lately. He's looking forward to wednesday, so he can get it taken care of, but then he will need to heal from surgery. I feel so bad for him. :(

Alaina and I had so much fun playing house, reading books, watching movies and cooking all day. I recommend reading my favorite children's book called, "The Giving Tree" by Shel Siverstein. It's a wonderful childrens book on giving and brings a tear to my eyes every time I read it.


We were playing in her playhouse market and the things she would say just amazed me. For example, she was sitting there asking me what I would like to buy, so I gave her some play food. Then she told me that's "56 dollars". 56 is my favorite number, so last time we played, I told her she needed to give me $56 and she remembered that this time. I couldn't stop laughing :D

Then she was pointing out the A and N to Matt on the computer. Matt asked me if I taught her that and I said only a few times when I would write her name. This age can be so much fun, because they pick up on everything. On the other hand, daddy needs to watch his potty mouth, because she picks up on that as well lol!

Friday, we had Ashley and Matt over and like always, it was a blast. I grew up with Ashley and her sisters. Lisa, her mom used to babysit my brother, sister and I for years after my mom's accident. I have so many fond memories with them :) Funny thing is, she has the same name and she married a Matt also. How cool is that!

Ashley made this really good crockpot chicken and caramel cheesecake for dessert.It was to die for! I made sure I worked out extra that day ;) Matt had fishsticks for Lent, but the next morning he was anxious to have leftovers for breakfast lol.

I just love having them over. They are genuinely good people, who you feel comfortable being yourself around. That's why Matt and I agreed that Ashley would be a great person to be Bella's Godmother. I can't wait til the day she tells me they are going to have a baby. They will make wonderful parents someday. I love you guys!

Spring please!

I love this blogging thing:) I've really been missing out. Thanks to my cousin/friend, Stef, she has been giving me ideas on what to put on here. I hope you don't mind if you're reading this :) I'm still learning, but I look forward to it each night. P.S. If you think I'm over the top you're probably right, but that's why it's my blog, so rather judge please just go your own way. Thank you :) Otherwise, thanks for stopping by :)

Anyways, I am so ready for spring! I can barely make it up my driveway still. At least the roads are much better. Today, I went through the girls dressers and closet to make some room for Spring wear. Bella is in size 6-9 months already! It seems like yesterday when I went through all of Alaina's hand me downs for Bella's arrival and now, Im clearing 0-6 month clothes to make room for the 6-9 months.

Alaina is growing like a weed as well. She's in mostly 3T and even some 4s! I'm guessing she will take after her daddy in height thank God lol! Well, my pillow is calling my name. Sweet dreams!

Cuddleful Wednesday

So far, I cleaned house, did some laundry and just cuddled with my girls:) There is nothing greater than cuddling with loved ones while watching a movie and drinking hot cocoa. Matt took the Escape to work again, so we are kinda stuck here unless I want to go dig his Truck or Explorer out. I don't think so! I'm feeling much better than the past couple days. Right now the girls are both napping, which barely happens anymore, so I thought I'd add another post :)

As you may know today is the first day of lent and I decided to give up chocolate! If you know me like my husband then you will know how hard this will be for me :/ Then again there's no comparison to what Jesus had to sacrafice.
