Tomorrow is St. Nicholas Day in honor of the generous and giving man from long ago. In Germany, children place a shoe outside the door the night before, hoping to wake and find candy, coins or a small gift inside (sort of like an early stocking!). My girl's each chose a shoe to set outside our door and I was lucky enough to take a pic of what he left behind for them. <3
