It's a bit late I know, but Happy St. Patty's Day. We love celebrating our Irish heritage on this day. This year we had some friends over the Sat. before, who came dressed in their green, because you know "Everyone is Irish on St. Patty's Day" ;) I made hot sausage, sweet sausage, dogs w/kraut, pasta salad, green bean casserole, baked beans, green cookies, spinach bread bowl dip and rainbow jello shots.
Also, my friend Ashley brought some yummy St. Patty pasta salad and Kate made this very addicting green punch. It was a lot of fun and the girls just love having kids over to play with, so it made the evening fun. Thanks for coming!
On the day before St. Patty's Day we went over to my mother-in-law's house for a corned beef and cabbage dinner. As always it was delicious and the girls had mint chocolate chip ice cream for dessert. Yummy! Thanks for having us Kathy.
Then on the day of St. Patty's Day I made the girls some green scrambled eggs, green milk and Alaina wanted some mac n cheese to, so that was included as well. I enjoyed a cup of Bailey's Irish cream coffee (alcohol free :)
It was a beautiful day out, so while Bella took her nap we went outside to play and Alaina enjoyed a St. Patty's Day cookie. Bella was still under the weather, so we chilled at home for the most part. Matt and I ended the evening with Letter to Juliet and a bottle of green apple wine. It was a wonderful St. Patrick's Day I must say. ;) I hope you had the same. Here's an Irish prayer to you all.
An Irish Prayer
May God give you...
For every storm, a rainbow,
For every tear, a smile,
For every care, a promise,
And a blessing in each trial.
For every problem life sends,
A faithful friend to share,
For every sigh, a sweet song,
And an answer for each prayer.
Bella really does look like a cute lil leprechaun here lol
